DPS는 Dividends Per Share의 약자로, 기업이 주주들에게 배당하는 금액을 나타내는 지표입니다. DPS는 기업이 발행한 주식 수로 나눈 값으로, 주식 한 주당 얼마의 배당금이 주주들에게 지급되는지를 나타냅니다.

예를 들어, A 기업이 발행한 주식 수가 10억주이고, A 기업이 주주들에게 100억원의 배당금을 지급할 경우, A 기업의 DPS는 10원이 됩니다. 따라서, A 기업의 1주당 배당금은 10원이며, 100주를 보유하고 있는 주주는 1,000원의 배당금을 받을 수 있습니다.

DPS는 기업의 주식시장에서의 가치를 판단하는 데 중요한 지표 중 하나입니다. 일반적으로, DPS가 높은 기업은 주주들이 높은 수준의 배당금을 받을 가능성이 높기 때문에, 투자자들은 DPS를 중요한 지표로 살펴보고 투자를 결정하는 경우가 많습니다. 그러나, DPS만으로 기업을 판단하기에는 한계가 있기 때문에, 기업의 재무제표 분석과 같은 종합적인 분석이 필요합니다.
