PFCs 란?

PFCs는 Perfluorocarbons의 약자로, 플루오린 원소와 탄소 원소로만 이루어진 화합물입니다. PFCs는 온실가스로 분류되며, 매우 긴 대기 체류 시간을 가지고 있습니다. 이로 인해 지구 온난화에 오랜 시간 동안 영향을 미칠 수 있습니다. PFCs는 고전압 스위치, 반도체 생산, 알루미늄 생산 등 다양한 산업 공정에서 발생합니다. PFCs는 이산화탄소(CO2)에 비해 상대적으로 높은 온실 효과를 갖기 때문에, 이를 줄이기 위한 노력이 필요합니다.

 

PFCs stand for Perfluorocarbons, which are compounds made up of only the elements fluorine and carbon. PFCs are classified as greenhouse gases and have a very long atmospheric residence time. This allows them to contribute to global warming for a long time. PFCs are found in a variety of industrial processes, including high-voltage switches, semiconductor production, and aluminum production. Because PFCs have a relatively high greenhouse effect compared to carbon dioxide (CO2), efforts are needed to reduce them.
